Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the Ayodhya Airport in Uttar Pradesh on Friday, marking a significant milestone in the government’s commitment to modernize infrastructure across the country. The newly constructed airport in Ayodhya, named after the revered sage poet Maharishi Valmiki, adds to the roster of modern airports and railway stations that PM Modi has been dedicated to developing.

Maharishi Valmiki, credited with composing the epic Ramayana, lends his name to the new Shri Ram International Airport, strategically located approximately 15 kilometers from the heart of Ayodhya city. The terminal building of the Ayodhya Airport spans an impressive 6500 square meters and is designed to cater to around 10 lakh passengers annually.

The Ayodhya Airport’s runway has been extended to accommodate the operations of A-321/B-737 type aircraft, ensuring its capability to handle a diverse range of flights. Visvesvaraya Terminus (Bengaluru) Amrit Bharat Express. Additionally, six new Vande Bharat trains are set to be flagged off during the ceremony.

Highlighting the government’s commitment to advancing the railway infrastructure, PM Modi will dedicate three railway projects valued at ₹2300 crore.
