incident occurred on Day 3 that resulted in Australian cricketers being booed
by the crowd and forced to return to the field. The incident took place after a
successful Decision Review System (DRS) review by India.
In the 68th over of the Indianinnings, Mohammed Siraj was given out LBW by the on-field umpire. However, the
decision was challenged by the Indian team and referred to the third umpire.
While the review was being assessed, the Australian cricketers, perhaps
assuming the dismissal was certain, decided not to wait for the third umpire’s
decision and began leaving the field prematurely.
To their surprise, the DRS review
favored India, and the decision was overturned. As a result, Siraj was ruled
