Ten Trains Canceled Due To Bihar Train Accident

Many trains have been stopped because 12 train cars on the 12506 Delhi-Kamakhya North East Express derailed near Raghunathpur station in Bihar’s Buxar district. This very sad event caused at least six people to die and almost 100 people to get hurt.

The police officer in Bhojpur, Pramod Kumar, said that six people died in a very sad accident. The railway sources said that more than 100 people were hurt because the train went off the tracks. Hospitals in Ara, Buxar, and Patna, including PMCH, AIIMS, and IGIMS, are ready to help and treat the injured people.

The train accident happened close to Raghunathpur station in the Danapur division near Buxar at around 9:35 pm. Thankfully, no one was hurt or killed, as stated by an official from Indian Railways.

The 12506 Down North East Express started its journey from Anand Vihar Terminal in Delhi at 7:45 am. It was headed towards Kamakhya Junction in Guwahati, which is located in Assam.

The East Central Railway zone shared a list of trains that have been canceled. These trains are Patna-Puri Special (03230), Sasaram-Ara Special (03620), Bhabua Road Express Special (03617), Patna-DDU Memu Pass Spl (03203), and Patna-Buxar Memu Pass Special (03375). Two trains have been stopped partially: Patna-DDU Express (13209) will only go up to Ara, and DDU-Patna Express (13210) will also only go up to Ara. Many other trains have been rerouted to different paths. Some of these trains include Pune-Danapur SF Express (12149), Patliputra SF Express (12141), Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express (12424), Vikramshila Express (12368), Kamakhya Express (15623), Guwahati Express (15633), Rajendra Nagar Terminal Tejas Rajdhani Express (12310), Bhagalpur Garib Rath Express (22406), and Anvt Rdp Express (22488), among others.

The Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has said that many different groups are working together to rescue people. These groups include NDRF, SDRF, district administration, railway officials, and local residents. The people who were hurt have been taken to hospitals, and there is a special room where people are working together to organize the helps and actions.

Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister, Tejashwi Yadav, has taken action by reaching out to the district administrator and police superintendent of Buxar and Arrah. He told them to get things ready for the injured people and send officers to the accident site quickly.
