Solicitor General, Harish Salve, the former Solicitor General of India, has entered into his third marriage, tying the knot with Trina in a lavish ceremony. This marks Salve’s third marriage, following his previous unions with Meenakshi and Caroline Brossard in 2020.
Salve and his ex-wife, Meenakshi, parted ways after a 38-year marriage in June 2020, and they share two daughters, Sakshi and Saaniya.
The wedding was graced by close friends and family, including notable figures such as Nita Ambani, Lalit Modi, and Ujjwala Raut. Harish Salve, a 68-year-old advocate practicing at the Supreme Court, is renowned for his involvement in high-profile cases, including representing Kulbhushan Jadhav, who was facing a death sentence by a Pakistani military court on espionage charges. Notably, Salve charged a symbolic ₹1 as legal fees for this representation, earning widespread acclaim.
Among his prominent clients are the Tata Group, Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries, and the ITC Group. He has also featured prominently in the Krishna Godavari Basin gas dispute case against Anil Ambani’s Reliance Natural Resources Ltd.
Salve gained fame for arguing India’s first anti-dumping case in the Supreme Court. In 2015, he took on Salman Khan’s high-profile hit-and-run case from 2002, ultimately securing Khan’s acquittal from all charges.
Salve’s legal career has been illustrious. He served as the Solicitor General of India from November 1999 to November 2002 and was later appointed as the Queen’s Counsel for the courts of Wales and England in January. He started as a senior advocate at the Delhi High Court in 1992 and was subsequently called to Blackstone Chambers, being appointed to the English Bar in 2013.
