Rashmika Mandanna’s response came the day after a video surfaced on social media, depicting a woman wearing a black swimsuit with Rashmika’s face. However, the authenticity of the video remained unconfirmed. In her initial reaction to the viral video, Rashmika stressed the urgent need for society to address the misuse of technology and identity theft. She expressed her distress at having to share and discuss the spread of the deepfake video.
Furthermore, Rashmika reflected on her current situation, where she is fortunate to have the support of her family, friends, and well-wishers who act as her protective network. She acknowledged that if such an incident had occurred during her school or college years, she would have struggled to cope with the situation.
Earlier in the day, Amitabh Bachchan, a Bollywood superstar, called for legal action in response to the viral video. He recognized the severity of the situation and stated that it warranted legal intervention.

The original video, which was posted by a Twitter user, featured Zara Patel, a British-Indian girl with a significant following on Instagram. The Twitter user highlighted the specific moment in the video where the face transitioned from that of the “other girl” to Rashmika’s.
