Haaland scores two goals as Man City continue their perfect start in the Champions League.

Erling Haaland scored a goal in the Champions League for the first time in a while. Manchester City won a match against a team from Switzerland called Young Boys with a score of 3-1.
Before the game in a rainy Bern, Haaland hadn’t scored in his last five Champions League matches. However, the City striker, who is famous for scoring lots of goals, found his groove in the competition and scored two goals in the second half at the Wankdorf Stadium.
Haaland scored a penalty kick to put City back in the lead, after Meschack Elia had scored to tie the game following Manuel Akanji’s goal earlier in the second half. Akanji, a defender from Switzerland, scored his first goal this season for City in his home country shortly after being shown a red card in their Premier League win against Brighton.
Haaland scored another goal near the end, making it a total of 11 goals in all competitions this season.
With Pep Guardiola as the leader, Manchester City is now in first place in Group G. They won their third game in a row, after defeating Red Star Belgrade and RB Leipzig in previous matches. If Manchester City wins against Young Boys at their home stadium next month, they will secure a spot in the next round of the competition with two matches left to play.
Guardiola admits that his team is feeling a bit tired after winning three big championships in a row. They have lost two games in a row in the Premier League against Wolves and Arsenal, and also lost a game in the League Cup against Newcastle. But their performance in the Champions League has been really good, as they have not lost any of their last 16 matches in the competition. Despite the challenge of playing on Young Boys’ artificial pitch, their dominance in the tournament was not affected.
Manchester City did well and had chances to score even though they weren’t playing their best. Rodri almost scored with a header off Matheus Nunes’ corner, and Young Boys’ goalkeeper, Anthony Racioppi, stopped Jeremy Doku’s shot after a pass by Jack Grealish.
