The important military operation ‘Operation Trident’ happened in 1971 because Pakistan attacked Indian air bases on December 3rd. Taking advantage of the fact that Pakistan did not have many airplanes, the Indian Navy launched a surprise attack at night on December 4-5, aiming at the Pakistan naval headquarters in Karachi. Three small warships and some other boats were sent to attack. They sunk three ships from Pakistan, including one called PNS Khaibar.
The Indian Navy Day 2023 will focus on being better at doing their job at sea. During the celebrations, 20 warships and 40 aircraft will take part, including MiG-29K and LCA Navy. The show will have the Marine Commandos from the Indian Navy demonstrate combat beach reconnaissance and a assault.
