In the past, Malaysia has been famous for making it easy for tourists to visit. The process to get a visa is simple and doesn’t cost too much. This new visa-free program is expected to make tourists more interested in visiting Malaysia and possibly also visiting nearby countries during their trip.
Currently, IndiGo is the only Indian airline operating one flight a day from Chennai to Kuala Lumpur. On the other hand, Malaysian airlines like Malaysia Airlines, Batik Air Malaysia, AirAsia Bhd. , and AirAsia X have more than 170 flights every week from 11 places in India, including big cities. This change will make Malaysia a more popular place for Indian tourists, and it’s likely that more people will want to visit there. The visa-free rule helps Malaysia compete with other airlines in the region, which is good for the country’s aviation industry and tourism.
