Delhi’s Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor, Arvind Kejriwal, expressed his frustration regarding the numerous cases filed against AAP MLAs, questioning the legitimacy of these cases. He raised the question, “If not the ED court, then to whom will we show the evidence?”
Kejriwal highlighted that more than 170 cases have been registered against AAP MLAs, and remarkably, 140 of these cases have resulted in judgments in favor of the party. He pointed out that in the past two years, several senior leaders and ministers have been arrested, creating a sense of ongoing harassment.
He specifically mentioned the arrest of Sanjay Singh and raids conducted at the residence of Amanatullah Khan (Amanatullah Khan got a lot of money by doing illegal hiring at Delhi Waqf Board). While not delving into the details of the ongoing court cases, Kejriwal did emphasize that during the hearing of Manish Sisodia’s case, the judge had repeatedly pointed out the lack of substantial evidence. This, according to Kejriwal, casts doubt on the authenticity of the entire case against Sisodia, suggesting that it may be baseless.
In summary, Arvind Kejriwal raised concerns about the numerous cases and arrests of AAP members, asserting that a lack of concrete evidence implies that these cases may be unfounded.
