In Melbourne’s western area, a car crashed into a hotel called Daylesford, causing the death of five individuals.

Five people, two of them being underage, sadly died on Sunday evening. A 66-year-old man was driving a white BMW SUV and crashed into the beer garden of the Royal Daylesford Hotel in the town of Daylesford, Victoria.
This terrible event happened just after 6 :00 pm, about 90km northwest of Melbourne. There were a lot of people at the pub because it was a long weekend in Victoria before the Melbourne Cup holiday on Tuesday.
There were a young boy and a teenage girl who had died. Superintendent John Fitzpatrick, who is in charge of the Road Policing Command in Victoria Police, said that the scene was very upsetting. He mentioned that such a terrible event had not been seen in a long time. He talked about how terrible it was that five people died in one event. After the accident, the driver was taken to Ballarat Hospital to receive medical care.
A person named Rhonda White saw something really horrible. She said that dead bodies were all over the place. Ms – Miss White, who was at a nearby RSL, saw the whole crash happen. At first, she thought the debris was just dust, but later she understood what it actually was. White, who has lived in Daylesford for more than forty years, said that one of the women with her quickly did CPR on a man whose body had been cut off. It took Ms. Robinson 1 hour and 30 minutes to arrive. White fully understood how serious the situation was. She also talked about the disorganized and chaotic 30-minute wait for ambulances to come.
A person who saw the car said it seemed like it was going at a regular speed down the hill towards the roundabout. But then, out of nowhere, it started speeding up really fast. Seven hurt people were quickly taken to hospitals in Melbourne or Ballarat for important medical care.
Brian Hood, who is the mayor of Hepburn Shire, said that the venue is very popular on weekends. He also mentioned that he doesn’t know about any accidents that happened there before.
