“Apologize to the Nation”: Uddhav’s Group Criticizes ‘Adipurush‘ Filmmakers
In response to the film ‘Adipurush,’ Priyanka Chaturvedi has called for an apology from the creators, expressing her concerns about the disrespectful portrayal of characters from the Hindu epic Ramayana. Uddhav’s group has strongly criticized the film’s dialogue, deeming it offensive to the essence of the revered epic.
New Delhi: Priyanka Chaturvedi, a Member of Parliament from Shiv Sena led by Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray, strongly criticized the creators of the film ‘Adipurush’ for their alleged use of “ordinary and unimpressive dialogues.” She demanded an apology from the film’s makers, expressing her concern that these dialogues displayed disrespect towards the revered characters of the Hindu epic Ramayana.
Taking to Twitter, Ms. Chaturvedi specifically called out the film’s dialogue writer, Manoj Muntashir, as well as the director, urging them to apologize to the nation for the subpar dialogues written for the movie, particularly those concerning Lord Hanuman.
The use of derogatory language towards our revered gods in the name of entertainment is deeply hurtful to the sentiments of every Indian. It is unacceptable to create a movie on Maryada Purushottam Ram and disregard all boundaries of respect and decorum in pursuit of mere box office success,” she further emphasized.
