She was discovered deceased in her apartment, having apparently hanged herself. Police investigations, so far, indicate a preliminary conclusion of suicide. Malpika Das, who had also been a former air hostess, was found hanging from the ceiling fan in her bedroom on June 6th. The police retrieved her body following the neighbors’ reports of the foul smell.
